- Start the day by looking at the sunrise and taking a minute or two to give thanks for every positive thing surrounding your life, no matter how small.
- Find an audio book that can help in that aspect of your life that you would like to focus on this year. Ex. If you would like to focus on relationships, listen to a book on relationships like How to win friends & influence people by Dale Carnegie. (next blog would be on books, media suggestions).
Creating a goal board that includes photos or magazine clips, but displaying it in a place where it can be seen daily to remind you of your goals. This should be an ongoing project through the year and not just a one-time thing at the end of the year. This way you get to visit and check on the status of your goals and readjust accordingly at the end of each quarter. If you do not mind have a accountability partner to keep you in check.
Besides the tips and steps mentioned above it is imperative to take care of your health as much as possible but eat healthy, fresh, non-process food to keep your mood and energy levels balanced. Do not believe me, just try it. Watch how do you feel right after lunch and if possible, keep a journal on how do you feel after your meal. Some people can’t handle simple carbohydrates, or fast food. Do you feel tired or down? Your mental and physical health are interconnected and one affects the other. In summary, check what, when, and how often do you eat and also your activity level. Do you at least take a walk outside? Do you take some fresh air and a few sun rays for a few minutes a day? A lot of people are vitamin D deficient due to lack of sun exposure. This is the best vitamin D to have enery.

Meditation is very important to clear the monkey mind and have clarity on where would you like to go. Nowdays is very difficult to get into a meditation practice when they are so many distractions and a million apps in the phone providing constant notification. First, remove unnecessary notifications in the phone and if meditation is not something that you are used to, start by doing some breathwork. Breathing in and out and paying attention to your breathing, starting with 1 or 2 minutes in the morning when you first get up. This time is perfect for meditation since your mind is not stress out after the work day. This step is very important to get that inspiration, intuition and to stay motivated. Make it a daily habit, starting now.
