The way you start out your day sets the tone for the rest of your day, This suggestions could definitely help you pump up the motivation volume and put your physical body in a better vibrational frequency to manifest and take on any challenge through the day.
Just remember every morning habit starts with a good night sleep the night before.

morning stretch
Simply stretching your arms will increase the blood flow and release tension from the night before.
A quick yoga session (about 12 to 15 minutes many found on youtube) would increase the blood flow and activate certain chakras depending on the sequence of the asanas.
For example, the Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downward facing dog pose) which resembles a dog stretching after a nap, would activate the Manipura Chakra (Solar Plexus) and the Ajna Chakra (Third Eye). The activates Solar Plexus aids with the personal power, motivation, and sense of purpose. The activated Third Eye chakra enhances focus, concentration, and intuition.
morning mantra
There are many benefits to mantras (in a meditation, writing, chanting or drawing). Repeating mantras daily, especially in the morning and as part of a morning routine improves the mood, the memory and reduces anxiety.
But repeating mantras like a parrot is not the goal here. It is not the words being said that are important but the feeling, the emotions, the vibrations and humming while pronouncing them that activate parts of the brain that produces the benefits mentioned above.
Top mantras (originally in Sanskrit):
- I bow to the Creative Wisdom. I bow to the Divine Teacher Within.
- I bow to the True Wisdom
- May all beings everywhere be happy and free.
- Om, Peace, Peace, Peace
*Unable to focus during a mantra meditation? I found that a japa mala (japa=recite, mala=meditation garland) which has been used by yogis for thousands of years are a great tool to keep the monkey mind in check.
Drinking water first thing in the morning (not coffee!)
Very important to “Re-Hydrate” the body after 7 to 8 hours of sleep and being deprived of water.
The Brain is composed of approximately 73% water, the lungs 83% and the skin 64%. (Information from USGS.gov).
Water kills that morning hunger, improves memory, cleanse the bowels and improve metabolism.
cold shower
There have been many benefits attributed to a cold shower. Increasing the metabolism, heart rate, and immune system. However, for a motivational morning routine, the improvement of mood and alertness is the main interest.
Cold water increases mental clarity, awareness, and energy levels.
Take a regular shower and make the last 30 seconds a cold shower. Gradually increase up to 1 minute.
*Please consult your doctor if you are able to take cold showers.
journal
I never journaled before my doctor ( a naturopathic physician) suggested it as part of a gratitude routine.
Many benefits come from journaling:
Track progress and growth
Strengthen memory
Clear the mind of too many ideas and thoughts by putting them on paper.
Gain clarity and inspiration.
Reduce stress and anxiety.
Choosing a unique journal makes this ritual special. The journal shown below is my favorite. I originally found it at a small shop in Colorado during one of my trips. Thankfully, I found the same printing company in Amazon and there are a vast selection of cover designs.
