CREATE YOUR ACTION BOARD
1.Gather images from magazines, not from internet printouts. We are trying to activate all senses while creating the board. Tactile and visual senses activate and imprint in your subconscious better. Use scissors, glue and cutouts.
2.Mainly use abstract or metaphorical images and numbers rather than words. We mostly dream in symbols instead of words. We are activating our vibrational settings through our emotions therefore; the images should convey special meaning to you when you see them.
3.Patience is key. Take about a week to create your board, and update throughout the year.
4.Divide the images (cutouts) into groups of different areas of your life.
The most important things to you should be at the center of the board to gather your attention even more when you look at it.
5.If you think your aspirations are interconnected somehow you could show them touching if you want.
6.Remove images that do not give you an intense emotion or that do not feel right. Gather more images as needed or as you want.
7.Leave the cutouts or images on the board without glue for about 24 hours in a safe place where no one can alter it.
Come back to it and review it, once you feel that it is good for you, place the images permanently.
8.Place your board in a location that is visually accessible, like next to your bed. This way you could look at it before you go to sleep. This period right before you go to sleep is called the hypnagogic state, which is extremely suggestable. Another location, if you do not wish to expose your board to anyone, it could be in your drawer (to look at when getting dressed), or take a picture of your board and create a Pinterest that you could access daily.
The key here is to look at your board daily, even several times a day. Preferably while saying a mantra.
You could add or remove images throughout the year. If anything manifests during this period, move to an accomplishment list.
This radical way of creating your action board was taken from the book “The Source” by author, neuroscientist, MD and podcast Host Dr. Tara Swart.
